Communication is paramount in this stage of the process. Prior strategy, planning and design lead to documenting the critical details. This phase is where clarity, focus and intent are integrated into all the decisions. At this stage, the BIM model serves as the primary source for comprehensive project information. Based on the size of the project, we will either complete another cost estimate or help select a
general contractor for construction. Due to the depth of the detail-oriented construction documents we provide, there is often a reduction of RFIs (requests for information) from the general contractor. By providing more than double the typical number of CD sheets of most designers, we have seen as much as a 40% reduction in RFIs, which helps lower costs and increase the certainty of outcome for the project.
